Marketing Hub

 

1.Instagram Stories on Mobile

Post and view Instagram stories using the HubSpot mobile app!

How to do this:

o create an Instagram Story post from your Android or iOS smartphone:

  • In your HubSpot Mobile app, navigate to Marketing Home > Social.
  • Click the +Post button
  • Select Instagram accounts from the menu. Then, select the checkboxes next to the Instagram accounts you want to post to.
  • Select the Story option
  • Under add media, you can select your photo or video
  • Ensure your video meets the IG Story Requirements

On a side note, you won't be able to see analytics until 25 hours after the story is posted-means no peeking!- and you need to have at least 5 interactions on any one story to be able to view the analysis. Once you do, you can expect metrics like: Impression, Reach, Taps Forward, Taps Back, Exits, Replies.

Unmatched insights: Social reporting and analysis has been one of the weaker areas in HubSpot for a while. We've had many customers lamenting the lack of insights and HubSpot is now seeking to rectify this as many customers have a multi-pronged social strategy approach and valuable insights were being left unexamined.

2.Compare Campaigns: Export & custom properties

It's now possible to download and share the performance comparison of up to 10 different campaigns. 

Similarly to comparing email performance, head to marketing -> campaigns -> analyse and then select the campaigns you want to compare.

Sales Hub

1.Mobile Lead Management 2.0 - Enhanced Experience 

A new interface means lead management now closely mirrors the desktop experience making for a seamless prospecting experience for sales reps. That means, multiple pipelines, Kanban view, quick filters, saved views and quick filters are readily available for on-the-go.

Unmatched insights: It's important to ensure all friction points are minimised to ensure busy sales teams are equipped with tools that facilitate an easier sales process. Most will likely only have their phone with them on the road, so this is really handy.

Who gets it: Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise seated users.

2.Multicurrency Support for Deal-based Goals

When the goal property is set to amount, you can set your goals to be based on whichever currency is relevant to that goal!

This means you're no longer restricted to goals based on company currency and having to do the conversions yourself.

When creating your goal just make sure to select deal as the object and amount as the property and select your preferred currency from the dropdown 😊

Unmatched Insights: I imagine this is beneficial for companies dealing with different global markets which have their own KPIs. This makes sure you stay on target and avoid conversion confusion when asked to report back 🫡

Who gets it: Multicurrency on custom goals is available on Sales Hub Enterprise and Service Hub Enterprise.

 

3.Sales Extensions: "Remember Me" for SSO logins

We hate sitting down to work and being made to log in again - it's such a time waster! Well, now all login types via the sales extension can be set to 'remember me' for a maximum of 28 days.

Unmatched Insights: Such an easy win from HubSpot but one that will definitely help the overall process become smoother. Make sure to check your inactivity logout threshold if there are any issues.

4.International Number Porting

Porting is the process of transferring one phone number from a carrier to a different one. HubSpot are supporting this process which can take between 4-6 weeks as it means businesses can maintain their brand identity without cutting off their international markets.

1.Reporting on SLA Operating Hour performance in Help Desk

 

For all companies, this is a highly beneficial feature as it will let you view emerging trends regarding when your busiest hours are when it comes to customers asking for help. This is available via the two new data points available:

  • Time to First Response in SLA Hours
  • Time to Close in SLA Hours

Unmatched insights: This will be super useful for smaller teams who need to be more strategic with their help desk availability as they don't offer 24/7 support.

Who gets it: Users with a Service Pro seat or a Service Enterprise seat

 

Smart CRM

1.Limits Tracking Tab

It's necessary to keep an eye on your subscription limits, this update makes it easier for admins to view and manage changes to portal usage.

Head to settings->data management-> objects-> select the object you need to manage -> view x object in the data model -> head to the limits tab:

Unmatched insights: This is a good reference point for an overview on all your objects; however as the limit bars are quite high, it is unlikely to be of concern for the majority of businesses.

2.Workflow Metrics with Most Travelled Path and Version Filtering

It's important to understand the outcome of your workflow and it's easy to get bogged down when dealing with the branch-based behemoth. This update gives you a quick and visible representation of which routes were the most popular in your workflow.

To turn this feature on, head to automation -> workflows -> choose any existing workflow -> select view -> then metrics.

Unmatched insights: Good for busy marketeers who need to know immediate outcomes from their marketing efforts, it also helps identify patterns in customer behaviour.

4.Create permissions for Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, and Custom Objects

Admins can now further control who has access to creating objects. This can be beneficial for those with concerns over data quality or teams who aren't fully comfortable creating records.

5.Connected Data for Multiple HubSpot Accounts

This update allows you to view different interactions across various business units. This is great for businesses providing various services and/or products as it can help streamline overall team efforts to support your customer and increases potential upselling opportunities.

FYI this is a highly limited beta with the following restrictions in place regarding use cases:

To benefit from the feature you must have multiple HubSpot accounts that meet the following requirements:

  • You can only connect Enterprise accounts.
  • You must be a Super Admin in both accounts.
  • The source and destination accounts must be hosted in the same location.
  • The source and destination accounts must both be production accounts.
  • The source account sharing data must not store sensitive data in HubSpot.

 

Unmatched insight: This is a very interesting feature as it aims to provide a more holistic view for businesses with multiple branches; however it does raise the need for GDPR revision and ensuring 110% compliance!

6.Permissions to edit and view specific Lists

HubSpot are cracking down on messy data and streamlining segmentation efforts with further permissions for editing and viewing lists within your CRM.

The lists area is one we often find in a bit of a well-intentioned mess, they're easily created and more concerningly, easily edited without much of a paper trail to see when things go wrong.

This means less confusion and also the ability to reduce bloat for teams with multiple users who may be overwhelmed by multiple list instances. 

Unmatched Insights: The editing restrictions are especially useful as sometimes these filters can be changed accidentally and remembering how you had the list set up originally can become complicated when dealing with complex data and custom properties

1. AI-Powered File & Image Search

Using AI, HubSpot will now generate descriptions and keywords for you, this means when looking for the files, you will have a variety of keywords that will describe your file, making finding them easier.

If you have CMS Hub Professional/Enterprise, Content Hub Professional/Enterprise, or Marketing Hub Professional/Enterprise this is generated automatically.! 

To turn this setting on, head to settings -> AI (under Account Management)-> ensure 'files data' is enabled'. If any of your old files don't have the description, turn it off and on again! 

Unmatched Insights: This is handy for businesses with numerous files in their HubSpot portal. Often we find files have longwinded names involving letters and numbers so this makes for easier navigation.

Who gets it: 

The ability to automatically generate descriptions and keywords for your files using AI is limited to customers with CMS Hub Professional/Enterprise, Content Hub Professional/Enterprise, or Marketing Hub Professional/Enterprise.
